Electrical training
We were all taught not to play with electricity when we were younger. But for some of us, making electric circuits at home is so much fun. Anyone wanting to become a fully qualified technician needs the right electrical training.
Electrician Apprenticeships
All aspiring sparkies need to do their time as an apprentice. Most electrician apprenticeships run for a minimum of four (4) years. You'll learn the theory behind electricity, all the safety requirements and gain invaluable on the job experience.
Electricians Make Great Money
As a first year apprentice you probably won't have two cents to rub together - the pay rate is not flash at all. However, you get an increase each year of your apprenticeship and once you graduate, you'll earn upwards of $60,000 in your first year as a fully qualified electrician. The pay only goes upwards from there.
How do I get started?
Contact a training provider in Queensland and ask them about their apprenticeships and traineeships for electricians. Choose a reputable provider like TAFE or similar. Be sure the course you signup comes under the National Recognised Training logo, that way you'll be sure your skills can be taken anywhere across the country.
